Built around a simple idea:
Your notes should belong to you.

1. Introduction

StealthPad is a private, secure note-taking application designed to provide a quiet and protected space for your ideas. This policy explains how we process your information across our Android application and backend infrastructure.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

We collect your Name, Email Address, and a hashed version of your password for authentication and account management.

Notes & Content

We process titles, text content, categories, and timestamps of the notes you create within the app.

3. Stealth AI

StealthPad includes AI features (Summarize, Generate, Key Points) powered by Google Gemini. When you explicitly invoke an AI action:

  • The app decrypts the specific note content locally on your device.
  • The plaintext is sent to our backend and forwarded to Google for processing.
  • The text is processed temporarily and not stored by our AI infrastructure after the response is returned.

4. Data Storage & Encryption

Local Storage: Your notes are stored in a local Room database on your device. We use AES/GCM encryption via the Android KeyStore to ensure your data is encrypted at rest.

Server Storage: Notes synchronized to our cloud are stored in a PostgreSQL database. Note content remains encrypted with your device-specific key before it is sent to the server. StealthPad servers store this ciphertext but do not have access to your decryption keys.

5. Synchronization

StealthPad uses a local-first architecture. Changes are saved to your device immediately. When a network connection is available, the app uses Android WorkManager to synchronize your encrypted notes with the StealthPad server to ensure your data is backed up.

6. Third Parties

We share data with the following services only as required for app functionality:

  • Google Gemini: To process AI-driven note tools.
  • Gmail SMTP: To send security codes (OTP) for registration and password resets.

7. Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Note Deletion: Individual or bulk deletion of notes removes records permanently from both your device and our servers.
  • Account Deletion: You can delete your account via the app settings. This action removes your profile and all associated notes from our servers.

8. Contact

If you have questions about your privacy, please contact the developer:
